How did I Manage to Stop Paying electricity bills With DIY Solar Panel Kit ?

Ok… I’ve been following the solar power market for some time. I’m a solar power junkie running everything I can from this totally free source of energy! I’ve been on the local news, the radio, in newspapers, and have written hundreds of “how to build solar panels” articles on green blogs all over the web.

Since I began following the solar power industry about 10 years ago, I’ve been through literally every emotion imaginable. Frustration… anger… jubilation, although the ‘frustration’ only lasted for the first two years while I was desperately trying to discover a cheap way to “build your own solar power system“.

At first I was sure that there is no way I could ever attempt to build something like this,but for those of you who are like me, and have never picked up a hammer, it was a lot easier than i thought.

Eventually, and after a lot of hard work, I did work it out and ever since then I haven’t looked back… and in the next few moments, I can hopefully advise you on how to do the same!

It took me two weekends to buy the parts and build my own solar panels. It cost me only a 100$ for all the materials, if you were to hire a professional to install a Solar panel kit, you would be looking at around 3000$-6500$ for them to install it.

Here is the Problem:

See, these days of financial crisis, when people are trying to save money on energy is even more difficult and confusing than it used to be. There are so many solar power companies and how to guides to choose from and unless you have the time and money to test them out, you’re basically going to go round in circles….and potentially lose a lot of money.

And this is the exact reason why a few months ago, (and after continually being asked to do so for 5 years!) I decided to strip down 15 of the most popular ‘do it yourself solar power guides’ to see which ones actually work!

What Happend ?

The truth was, most were total rubbish and a few could even be described as ’scams’. In fact, out of the 15 that I tested, only two contained feasible ways of building high quality solar panels that save 95% or more off your monthly power bill.

In fact, these two programs (the ‘Earth 4 Energy‘ and ‘HomeMade Energy‘ “)worked SO well, I managed to almost completely eliminate my monthly power bill !

A Nice and easy to follow guide, This guide is by far the most easiest and complete on the market today !

The step by step instructions & illustrations make it easy for anyone to follow !

They have also just added some instructional videos on how to set it all up, and videos shot by other users who took this guide and built their leading Clean Energy home systems.

Overall the Earth 4 energy guide is the BEST guide I ever read. I think it has a lot to contribute to your knowledge.

Home Made Energy Review:

This guide is written by Bill Ford a passionate enviromentalist, It covers how to build your own solar panels and windmill.

You will get detailed information on how to set everything up,where to buy the parts and how to maintain your wind generator.

The guide also comes with some great case studies of people who have had success using the system.

The Home Made Energy guide is constantly being updated as they test different techniques.

The only drawback with this guide is the customer support, it was not as quick to respond to our support tickets as Earth4Energy.

The energy savings that you experience will be about 75%.

Update: They are running a promotion were you can purchase the guide for $47 instead of $297.00 !

My Conclusion

Well, after some deliberation, my conclusion is this:
If you want to build your own solar power system then the Earth 4 Energy is certainly the one to go for.

Don’t get me wrong, the Home Made Energy guide does work and if you spend a little time trying to implement everything then you will save money off your monthly power bill….
although I do think the reason why I personally was able to build my solar panel easier with Earth4Energy is because of the excellent, step by step instructions.
